My name’s Jess and I have just started on the project under the advertised role a few posts down…
I’m going to be documenting 12 projects over the next 6 months, eventually creating the pervasive media cookbook! Which, if you are on this site, should already know about. I’m currently researching online cookbook aesthetics and potential wordpress themes, there is a lot of rubbish to filter through.
Alongside this i’m going to continue blogging on here, starting next week with the Pervasive Media Studio Summer School, all very exciting and a little bit daunting!
A little bit about me
I’ve been working at UWE for the last year as a Multimedia Journalism fellow after finishing my degree in Journalism and Media and Cultural Studies.
This is my slightly sparse website with details of past projects and an experimental presentation.
I’ve lived in Bristol for 4 years and don’t plan to leave; I moved from Kent with a mixed background involving media, graphics, a gap year, an all boys school and suburban boredom.
I would describe myself as half geek, half luddite.
I’m off to be chased round Queens Square by dogs (all part of testing a project apparently!), I’m very much looking forward to working here and especially as part of this project.
Great first post Jess. Good to have you on board
