Evaluation Methods

Tuesday kicked off with a presentation by Jo Reid, giving a great overview of evaluation methods she has used when developing projects. She has a wealth of expertise in developing and evaluating experience design projects through her years at HPlabs and now with Calvium

Jo started with a really good intro on why we should evaluate, the importance of iteration in the design process and her interest in emergence driven research methodology. She had some interesting insights into thinking about the forces of creative tension, when artists, researchers and technologists collaborate. Jo was also clear about the need to let other people get involved in the testing process, and that it can be hard but useful to let other people criticise your pet project…
